Brewing Instructions
Ingredients:
- ΒΌ Cup of Turkey Tail Mushroom
- 8 – 12 Cups of Water
Method:
- Crockpot Method:
- Add Turkey Tail mushrooms and water to a crockpot.
- Simmer on the low setting for at least 2 hours, ideally overnight.
- Add more water as needed during the cooking process.
- Saucepot Method:
- Add Turkey Tail mushrooms and water to a medium-sized saucepot.
- Simmer on low heat on the back burner for a minimum of 2 hours, ideally up to 4 hours.
- Stir occasionally and add water as necessary.
Straining and Storage:
- Strain the Solids: After simmering, strain out the mushroom solids.
- Reinfusion: The solids can be reinfused once more for weaker results if desired.
- Storage: Store the brewed tea in glass jars in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 6 months.
Consumption:
- Daily Dose: For best results, drink 1 chilled pint per day.
